The Clippers did not have a good start in the league and Russell thought of a different strategy which seems to be working out. In the last few games, they have been looking quite good. Most of the people have observed that Russell Westbrook and James Harden do not fit together. Many fans blamed Harden for Russell’s decision but that does not seem to be the issue.
“Yeah, but you know I’m not one to make excuses, I just try to figure out you know, somebody that’s been in the league a long time I’ve been there when they are trying to adjust, and do different things for different teams. I always will figure it out, I just say, prayerful for one, and keep my faith and understanding of my value and what I bring to the team. And every time I step on the floor, I’ll give everything I have and you know that’s good enough.” Russell said
Russell Westbrook in a new role
Russell’s impact can not be ignored; that just got proven in the game against the Mavericks, where Russell not only contributed well but also guided his team after Luka Doncic which turned out to be a good decision. He brought great energy when he entered the play and did his job the right way.
Russell ended up scoring 14 points with 8 rebounds and 7 assists in just 25 minutes of play. Russell Westbrook has fit in the new role and is contributing heavily to the team’s performance. He and Josh Hart share the same record that is the most number of double-doubles Off the bench by a guard (19).
“Focus on what I’m able to do on the floor and I know when I’m doing that nobody can match my energy or anything that I’m doing. Just more focus on my end.”
