The report is one of the stories of Hollywood industry that cannot surprise anybody. Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogler who also directed Marvel’s Black Panther is officially signed to return as the director of Black Panther 2 as the writer as well as director.
Ryan Coogler was one of the most influential factors for getting the first movie of Marvel’s Black Panther onto the big screen, and it was Ryan Coogler’s vision created the fictional African country Wakanda and the characters based on Marvel Comics. Black Panther also featured one of the best villains in movies, Erik Killmonger who was portrayed by the Creed actor Michael B. Jordan. The fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe would have been a lot upset if Coogler had dropped off or moved on to a different project. The confirmation which states that Coogler will reprise the role of director-writer is a relief to everyone.
The report also noted that Coogler’s return was more likely expected, but the timing when Coogler will return as the director and start with the production of the next instalment of the movie was the primary question. Recently, Marvel Studios has released a schedule for the forthcoming 2019-2022 films, and hardcore Marvel fans have pointed out the date of the release of next Black Panther movie in February 2021.
“According to sources, the current plan is for Coogler to start writing for Black Panther sequel is next year, with the aim of starting production in late 2019 or early 2020. However, Marvel and parent company Disney did not release any official announcements about Marvel’s forthcoming movies. The next “Avengers” movie will release in May 2019 and the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” sequel in July – the plans may change, According to The Hollywood Reporter.
