Seeing how dad is doing today.
On the episode of the FX series Welcome to Wrexham that aired on September 22, Ryan Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively, and their children made a cute cameo appearance. The “Free Guy” star received a phone call while he was in Wales, at the stadium where his Wrexham A.F.C. soccer team plays, and he responded to the call by saying, “gotta answer this.”
During a FaceTime call, Ryan’s family can be heard saying, “Hi Dad, look at you on the field!” as he pans the camera on his phone around the stadium. Blake is heard exclaiming, “Wow, that’s so cool,” even though the video itself is not displayed.
Ryan, 45, who shares a relationship with the former cast member of Gossip Girl and is the father of James, 7, Inez, 5, and Betty, 2, replied, “It’s so amazing. Seeing this place is literally emotional ’cause i’ve watched it so much on the video feed and to be here and standing ion the turf…just oh my god.”
Ryan and Wrexham A.F.C. co-chairman Rob McElhenney were able to visit the home of their team for the first time during this visit. Wrexham A.F.C. is the third oldest professional soccer club in the world, and Ryan and McElhenney took ownership of the club at the beginning of 2021.
The episode airs exactly one month after Blake, 35, provided fans with a look into her recent trip with her family to Europe in the prior episode. On August 23, the actress uploaded a picture to her Instagram account showing her lounging by a pool while wearing a white bikini and the caption, “summer lovin’ …had me a blast.”
The hilarious remark was then made by Ryan, who is 45 years old. “Wrexham is the Ibiza of Wales.”
A few short weeks later, Blake made an appearance at the Forbes Power Women’s Summit, where she showed off her growing baby bump and confirmed that she and Ryan were expecting their fourth child together.
During the event on September 15, Blake playfully made references to increasing the size of her family, sharing, “I just like to create. Whether that’s baking or storytelling or businesses or humans, I just really like creating.”
