What is Android Pie?
Android 9 or simply Android Pie is the ninth main version of the open source OS by Google. With Android 9, it has bought major new changes on how the smartphones operate and look. The biggest new inclusion is the Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature, which learns about the pattern of smartphone use and changes the settings as per the needs required. There is an adaptive battery, adaptive brightness, and a new navigation feature.
Samsung Android Pie Features
Samsung always makes sure to get custom made changes with every Android update. As Samsung has such a huge impact on the market, Android 9 Pie brought out a whole lot of new features and updates for Samsung devices. One UI has totally changed the look of the Samsung device, with a new viewing area and infection area section.
Also, Samsung assistant Bixby has been totally updated in the Android Pie version. There is also the ‘Always on display’ display settings a totally revamped messaging service with new emojis. Android 9 Pie has also revamped the camera bugs and fixed major issues.
Already Running Android Pie
Samsung Galaxy S9 and Note 9 were the first one to get updated with Android Pie during December, last year. It was just two months after the launch of Android 9 to the general public. After that most of the higher Samsung Galaxy devices started getting updated to Android Pie, with the monthly roll-out.
Since the third roll out for Android Pie in March 2019, Samsung Galaxy S8 series and Tab series has also been updated. While the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ have been launched with Android Pie pre-installed.
Under Process Device
Samsung has announced that most of its devices will get Android 9 Pie update before the end of the year 2019. Samsung has provided a roadmap and the list of the devices to get the new Android update.

Non Supported Device
While the new Android Pie update contains a lot of new things, its size has also been increased due to that. The minimum package of Android 9 is of size 350 MB, and also it requires additional space. It is not possible that every Samsung device will support the update, and some of these phones might never receive the Pie treatment.

Android Q for Samsung
While the world is discussing Android 9 Pie update, Google is ready with the new Android 10 Q operating system. Android Q is on roll-out in beta phase for some of the high-end phones. There is no update when Android Q will be released for Samsung devices, but it should begin before the end of this year. For those Samsung phones, who won’t support the latest Android, will receive new security updates.
