Comparing Samsung Galaxy S8 vs LG G6
Let us first take a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy S8
Samsung Galaxy S8
Samsung’s flagship smartphone of 2017, the Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch screen and offers an 18:5.9 ratio. This was the first Samsung smartphone to offer such a display. It was also the first Samsung phone where the fingerprint scanner was moved to the back!
The Samsung Galaxy S8 features the Snapdragon 835 processor and offers 4GB RAM/64GB storage combination. The Galaxy S8 also features an Adreno 540 GPU and a 12MP camera on the back along with an 8MP camera in the front.
Let us now look at the LG G6 and how it stands in the Samsung Galaxy S8 vs LG G6 comparison.
LG G6
LG’s 2017 flagship smartphone, the LG G6 is every bit as good as Samsung’s S8 in terms of performance. However, in terms of specifications, it seems to be losing the Samsung Galaxy S8 vs LG G6 battle.
For instance, LG’s display is 5.7-inched (0.1 inches smaller than Samsung). The viewing ratio too, is 18:9 (as opposed to 18.5:9 in Samsung). Furthermore, the LG G6 is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 (vs Gorilla Glass 5 in the S8). However, the phone offers more variants when it comes to storage – providing 32, 64 and 128GB variants.
LG G6 also has a better camera on the back, as it offers a 13 MP+13 MP dual camera (vs 12MP single camera of the S8). LG’s 5MP selfie-camera, however, lacks behind Samsung’s 8MP camera on the front! Both the devices are otherwise well-matched and offer pretty much the same features.
