Selena Gomez joined the increasing list of celebrities who attended Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, and she documented her experience on Instagram. After witnessing Swift’s performance in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday night, Selena Gomez wrote, “Thank you, bestie, for transporting my sissy and me into your mystical, euphoric, and special world.” I’m honored to meet you! “I will love you forever and ever.”
Selena Gomez was there with her nine-year-old sibling, Gracie Elliot Teefey. Gomez and Gracie both dressed up as various eras of Swift’s career. Gomez dressed in Swift’s cardigan merch for the Folklore period. She also chose to recreate Swift’s beauty look with expert assistance.
Kristen Farrah, a Dallas, Texas makeup artist, posted a glam shot of Selena Gomez before the performance, demonstrating the work she did to help Swift recreate Swift’s aesthetic. “I’m not sure what’s more iconic, @selenagomez wearing @taylorswift’s folklore cardigan look or the fact that I got to do her makeup,” Farrah wrote. Using my favorite @rarebeauty blush on Selena felt like a complete cycle moment.”
This is Selena Gomez’s second homage to Swift in the last week. Gomez was featured in a montage of celebrities honoring Swift for receiving the iHeartRadio Music Awards’ Innovator Award at the end of March. “She can represent what she’s walking through so well,” Gomez said in it. She is an inspiration. I don’t think that’s something you choose; I think it’s something you’re born with, and I believe that’s Taylor.”
