Seth Curry, the 32-year-old Brooklyn Nets’ shooting guard, is now a free agent. The Dallas Mavericks have been following the athlete for a while and since free agency has started, the trade deal might get completed soon.
Here’s all the information we have about Curry’s deal with the Dallas Mavericks!
What’s up with the trade between Seth Curry and the Mavericks?
The Mavericks did well at 3-point shooting this season and were in the top 3 in attempted and converted shots. Having said that, they needed to be very consistent with their shooting from deep since it was a crucial part of their gameplay.
The Mavericks need a shooter badly, and Seth Curry is an economical option. They would try to convince Seth to play for them and it’s a huge possibility that they actually pull off the deal.

How did Seth Curry perform last season?
The shooting guard managed to make only 19 appearances in the 2021-22 season after being traded mid-season by the Philadelphia Sixers. Seth played 61 games this season, averaging 9.2 points and 1.6 assists per game for Brooklyn Nets. He had a 46.3 field goal percentage and 1.6 rebounds per game as well.
Why Seth Curry will be a great signing for the Dallas Mavericks?
Seth has a 40.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc, and it is enough to prove that he’s as good of a shooter as his elder brother Stephen Curry. As per the stats of Bleacher Report, Curry is the 3rd best shooter who attempted at least 1000 3 pointers since the 2015-16 season. The Mavericks would love to have a shooter that good.

Stats speak enough about Seth’s lack of playmaking and defensive abilities but with Irving and Doncic in the squad the Mavericks will only need pinpoint shooting from the Nets’ number 30.
As per ESPN’s Tim MacMohan, Curry will sign a two-year deal with the Mavericks. They are signing him using their biannual exception of $4.5M.
Curry would be a great addition to the Mavericks Squad, and as it looks, the deal might be signed very soon.
