Shari Jordan was welcomed into the world on May 8, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, to parents- Howard M. and Olive Jean Miller Jordan. Not much is known about her childhood, though she is remembered as the stepmother of notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
Shari Jordan tied the knot with Lionel Dahmer and then became the stepmother to his son, Jeffrey Dahmer. Jeffrey is renowned as one of the most heinous serial killers in U.S. history.
Jeffrey Dahmer was responsible for 17 killings and acts of cannibalism between 1978 and 1991. His biological mother, Joyce, passed away in 2000. His stepbrother, David, is still living. Sadly, Jeffrey was killed by another prisoner, Christopher Scarver, whilst in jail.
Shari and Lionel Dahmer became parents to a son, David. Lionel had been previously married to Joyce, with whom he had a son, Jeffrey. As a result of Lionel and Shari’s union, David and Jeffrey were stepbrothers.
It is said that Joyce Dahmer was a hypochondriac. After the court granted her husband Lionel permission to keep the house they were living in until the divorce was finalized, she moved out.
Joyce Dahmer, the biological mother of Jeffrey, passed away in 2000. However, Jeffrey Dahmer was killed in prison, at the hands of Christopher Scarver in 1994. He was 34 at the time of his death. His stepbrother, David Dahmer, is still alive to this day.
After Jeffrey passed away, Lionel Dahmer and Jordan Shari relocated to Ohio where they lived a peaceful life away from the limelight.

Shari Jordan’s life ended abruptly in 2012 at the age of 58. She was at her daughter’s house with her five grandchildren and other loved ones when she passed away peacefully. The love and support given to her family ensures that her legacy will be kept alive in the hearts of those who were close to her.
In 2004, Shari and Lionel made an appearance on Larry King Live to talk about Jeffrey Dahmer and their experience of staying in contact with him while he was in jail. They were of the opinion that he suffered from a mental disorder. At the show, Shari made it clear that she wanted to stop anyone else from suffering Jeffrey’s fate and highlighted the necessity of understanding the motivations behind his behavior.
Shari valued the family name and did not attempt to disassociate from it, unlike David. When Lionel appeared on Dr. Phil in November 2022, he noted how Jeffrey was at the end of the scale of misconduct.
In 2022, the Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story was released, featuring Hollywood actress Molly Ringwald as Shari Jordan. The show provided an in-depth look into the notorious life of Jeffery Dahmer, who was played by Evan Peters.
