Silicon Valley Season 6 got renewed a long time ago. However, the fans are getting impatient as they are not aware of its release date yet even after months of the initial announcement.

Why are there no new episodes of Silicon Valley?
According to reports, the show’s production is not on the schedule. Since the first season of the show, a new installment comes out every year in spring. This time the show was renewed even before the fifth season came to an end. Yet, the production of Silicon Valley Season 6 will not begin until summer.
The main reason for the delay in production is another series popular on HBO. Alec Berg, Silicon Valley’s showrunner, also handles the same task for Barry. HBO confirmed earlier that Barry Season 2’s production must be completed before the commencement of Silicon Valley Season 6 filming.
As the filming of the show won’t begin until summer, it is difficult to predict its release date. It is unlikely that the show will release this year. The fans will have to be more patient with this as the show will probably release next year only.
Meanwhile, the other shows which have survived a decade may be axed by the network. Declining ratings or the story coming to an end could be a reason behind it. Casey Bloys, President of HBO, said that Silicon Valley may face a similar situation later on. There is a lot of uncertainty regarding the seventh season of the show.
