Simon Cowell is the man behind the hugely successful Got Talent and X-Factor franchises. In one such audition during the filming of Britain’s Got Talent new series, things got hot and heavy. Cowell was called on the stage by a mysterious, mute, and masked magician. He was asked to sit on the chair and the magician put a hood on his head. However, the judge was entirely unaware of what was about to unfold. Next, the contestant poured lighter fluid all over Cowell’s head.
Cowell’s head was then locked in a box which was opened at the front for the audience to see. This is when the horrific stunt unfurled. The magician dropped a flame inside the box and Simon Cowell’s entire head was up in flames. Luckily, Cowell was unharmed. Moreover, he explains that he felt liquid pouring on his head but he wasn’t sure of what it was. Let’s see what Simon Cowell has to say about this accident.
Simon Cowell was set on fire by a BGT contestant
Post the horrific stunt, Cowell talked about his experience. He said, “I could feel liquid being poured on me but I had no idea it was lighter fluid!” Sharing the judge’s panel was Alesha Dixon who added, “Simon, he set your entire head on fire! It was very scary, you are a very brave man to do that. It made me realise how much we care about you, I was ready to come up there and rescue you.” Amanda Holden further added, “It was massively entertaining but horrific to watch. It was scary.”
Bruno Tonioli, who is the newest addition to the panel said, “It reminded me of a scene from that movie, Saw, seeing Simon’s head in that contraption. I was captivated, I’ve never seen anything like that.” Moreover, one person who witnessed the whole incident shared some insights. They said, “The audience screamed, judges were out of their seats screaming, everyone was totally stunned. The flames were put out and Simon got up looking a bit shell-shocked while the rest of the judges breathed a sigh of relief as he returned to the panel.” However, for the people on the Internet, the incident is funny as a lot of mocking comments started making rounds.

I mean his whole new plastic face could have melted, like the witch from Wizard of Oz. Now that’s talent.
That would be bad with that plastic face of his
I mean… Jesus Christ guys… you do realise it was a magic act… none of his body actually came into contact with fire… the act ended and he had no idea what was going on…
And they couldn’t even throw a bucket of water over him in case he melted like the wicked witch of the west
Plastic fires are terrible
Wouldn’t have done much more damage to his face, in all honesty…..
