The first pictures of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson after his brain hemorrhage surgery has surfaced. He had an emergency brain surgery on the 5th of May and was out of the field since then.
The picture captured the smiles exchanged with Sir Ferguson and Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Solskjær is the current caretaker manager of the club and has also played as a striker in the past.
Solskjær said that he was privileged to see Sir Alex Ferguson back on the training ground. He continued saying that his (Sir Ferguson’s) words of wisdom inspired him and the entire team.
The New Manager- Solskjær
After Mourinho being sacked, keeping in mind the team’s poor performance, United have come back strong. They have won all of the three games which they played since Mourinho was sacked on 18th December.
Also, in just the three games they played, they scored a total of 12 goals. Solskjær was known to be an aggressive manager and the numbers proves that.
Solskjær and Ferguson Relationship
Solskjær has been very closely associated with Sir Ferguson from over 15 years. Ferguson was the person who influenced Molde into signing in Solskjær in 1996. After his retirement in 2007, Sir Ferguson hired him as the Norwegian reserve-team boss. During his time in United, Solskjær has won two FA Cups, six Premier League and the Champions League too.
He said that Sir Ferguson has been very closely in touch with him for over 15 years. He loves the way Sir Ferguson handles the team.
Ferguson’s former assistant, Mike Phelan is also back in the team as the backroom coach. Another one of Ferguson’s picks, Michael Carrick is in the coaching staff of the United.
Sir Alex Ferguson is regarded as the most successful manager in the history of Football. Sir Ferguson has 38 trophies under his name. He served as a manager for 26 years until he was retired in 2013.
