The enhancements in AI have been on a boom for the last 12 months. Almost every manufacturer is trying to work with dedicated silicon, and upgrade their existing capabilities. Qualcomm and MediaTek’s chips have been ranked the top two by AI Benchmark.
This AI Benchmark app works with nine AI tasks which are computer vision-related and runs across a diverse set of neural networks. Super-resolution, Image Segmentation, Photo Enhancement, and object classification/recognition. The chips are rated based on these tasks, and the one with the highest score is rated the best.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8150 was the highest score getter with a total of 22,082 points, placing it in the number one spot. Ice Universe spotted MediaTek’s Helio P80 as the second best development platform. This ranking has created a hype for the unveiling of Qualcomm processor which is scheduled to unveil next month. These two are followed by OnePlus 6, Huawei Mate and others.
