Solo Leveling Season 1 has been stunning the fans with each of its episodes, and recently, fans discovered that the anime series has not been using any CGI while animating the monsters shown in the series. CGI is not a new concept; practically every animation studio uses it.
Finally, it all depends on the standards of the company that performs it, and A-1 Pictures is well-known for its outstanding usage of CGI. However, A-1 Pictures chose not to apply CGI while portraying the monsters, and fans are once again floored!

Solo Leveling Season 1: A-1 Pictures’ “Hand-Drawn” Monsters Stuns The Fans
Fans of Solo Leveling Season 1 were stunned to learn that the monsters in the show were entirely hand-drawn, with no usage of CGI. However, this also raised concerns among fans about how the animators would manage to draw so many monsters at once during battle sequences. There are rumors that Solo Leveling Season 1 will be split into two parts. Some fans believe that if the second part premieres in the winter of 2025, A-1 Pictures will have enough time to draw these monsters by hand.
A-1 Pictures is known for its excellent CGI, and fans have faith in the animation studio that it would do justice to all the scenes, whether CGI applied or not! In fact, in episode 3 of Solo Leveling Season 1, there has been the usage of CGI, which fans feel has been beautifully rendered and is not quite affecting the choreography.
In fact, in the fourth trailer of Solo Leveling Season 1, the Snake monster was portrayed using CGI, however, it was blended with the animation. So, concerns about the overuse of CGI should not be a cause of worry among the fandom.
