Tucker Carlson’s show on the Fox News was dropped by a number of advertisers as said by the network on Tuesday.
The phenomenon happened as a response to a statement made by the host of the show last week in which he said immigration is making United States dirtier, poorer and much more divided.
Fox News announced through a statement that the far-left activist organization has been targeting the conservation commentator ever since after he made the remark on Thursday on his show.
It even said that they cannot and definitely will not suppress and censor the voices like Tucker Carlson because of agenda- driven petrifying efforts.
The network even added that they are not advocating the boycotts, however these group that are targeting them always fail to target the other operators and broadcasters under the effect of a grossly hypocritical double standard which give them tolerance against all opposing point of views.
Fox refused to name the advertisers who withdrew their support from the show as well the total number who pulled out their spots but at the present scenario Bayer and Mitsubishi Corp and Farmers are still with them.
The advertisers who left moved to the other shows on the network and ergo there had been no loss revenue.
Donald Trump, the former president of United States of America has set immigration reforms as his priorities and has promised his people to crack down any illegal crossings at the southern US border which it shares with Mexico.
Tucker Carlson confidently took up the subject again on his show on Monday. On Monday he said that the natural landscape of the United States has been injured because of the unregulated mass immigration from Mexico.
A number of media reporters stated that a total of 11 advertisers and pulled their spots from the Tucker Carlson’s show after the remark he made last week.
