Strangers Things Season 3 is going to test our patience a lot this year but not without getting us all excited about it. The Strange Things Season 2 had released in October 2017 and the response from the fans was phenomenal.
When will Stranger Things Season 3 release on Netflix?
The new year started off with a bang for the fans. The official account of Stranger Things on Instagram announced that Stranger Things Season 3 will release on 4th July 2019. Well, that also happens to be the Independence Day for the United States of America (USA). The recent Title teaser, which was released two months ago, hinted at the summer 2019 release.

On 10 November 2018, David Harbour (Chief Jim Hopper) confirmed that he had finished filming for Stranger Things Season 3. He also said that he was looking forward to shaving off his mustache! He had already indicated that the third season wouldn’t be released until 2019.
Cindy Holland, Netflix’s Vice President of Original Programming, had confirmed the news but also assured that the delay will be ‘worth the wait’. In September 2018, Shawn Levy said during the Emmy’s that “cinematically, it’s our biggest season yet”. Well, that explains the long wait for the fans.
Also, on 6 November 2018, Netflix celebrated the first-ever Stranger Things day. They also had a special surprise for the fans for Christmas 2018: Happy Holidays from the Upside Down.
Is There a Trailer for Stranger Things Season 3?
Netflix did release a short teaser for Stranger Things Season 3 in the form of an ad for a new mall in Hawkins. The ad features Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) and newcomer Robin (Maya Thurman-Hawke) as ice cream vendors.
Stranger Things Season 3 Cast
Thankfully, the cast for Stranger Things Season 3 is going to remain the same as the previous two seasons. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Joyce (Winona Ryder), Will (Noah Schnapp), Lucas (Caleb Mclaughlin), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) and fan favourite Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) are all set to return to the screens and carry the story forward.
But, there are new additions as well. Maya Thurman-Hawke (daughter of Uma and Ethan) will join Stranger Things Season 3 as Robin, who will uncover a ‘dark secret’ in Hawkins.
Other additions include Storm Troopers star Jake Busey as Bruce Kline and Cary Elwes as Mayor Kline. Francesca Reale from Haters Back Off will feature as Heather a lifeguard at the community pool who becomes the focal point of a ‘dark mystery’.
According to a release from Netflix, Stranger Things Season 3 will see Erica (Lucas’ sister) embark on a ‘wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous and unexpected new threat’.
