Jim Hopper from Stranger Things gets his backstory
The cast members of the show namely, Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder), Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) make the show incredible. There’s more to come in the third season as supernatural threat looms over Hawkins, Indiana.
Hopper is expected to get a lot of attention as recently; his backstory was released in the novel form. Adam Christopher’s novel Stranger Things: Darkness on the Edge of Town was released by Penguin Random House and is all about Hopper and his past story.
The novel is set in between seasons two and three, and Hopper is enjoying Christmas with Eleven, his newly adopted daughter. She stumbles upon old detective files. This is how Hopper’s investigation story began by solving a string of murders in the 70s in New York. But does this emphasis has something to do with his end on Stranger Things season 3?
Hopper has had several painful experiences on the show with the death of his daughter Sara. Author Adam also hinted that the book might find a place in the third season. Actor David also talked about the ending of the Stranger Things third season, which hints at Hopper’s death. He spoke about how Eleven is growing up and how it is terrifying for Hopper. His little girl will be seen hanging out with guys, which is not comfortable for him. He said,
You get to see a lot of that throughout the season and it’s very unexpected what happens in the end, and it’s very, very moving. I think episode eight is the most moving thing we’ve ever shot.
