A popular theory about Stranger Things season 5 has just been confirmed by one of the key cast members of the series on Instagram.
In 2016, the Duffer brothers created Stranger Things, an American Science fiction horror television series. The series’ first season was released on July 15, 2016, on Netflix. It was renewed, and the second season was released in October 2017, the third in July 2019, and the fourth in May and July 2022.
Overview of the Stranger Thing series
Stranger Things is set in the 1980s in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana. The United States Department of Energy has a facility nearby called the Hawkins National Laboratory, which performs scientific research. However, it secretly experiments on human test subjects and their relationship to the paranormal and supernatural.
Unknowingly they create a portal to an alternate dimension called “the Upside Down.” The Upside Down’s influence starts to affect Hawkins’s unknowing residents in catastrophic ways.
The cast of Stranger Things mainly consists of a group of kids Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, and Noah Schnapp as Will Byers.
Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, and Joe Keery as Steve Harrington portray the Lead adult characters. Gradually, the other characters are introduced in the following seasons.
Noah Schnapp comes out as gay
The actor Noah Schnapp who plays Will Byers, recently came out as gay in a TikTok video. He wrote in the video, “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know.” He was seen lipsyncing to the audio, “You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, will never be that serious.” People flooded the comment section with supportive and appreciative comments.
In the Stranger Thing series, the character played by Noah (Will Byers) and Milke Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) are childhood friends and have remained close for a very long time. Throughout the series, Will’s sexuality and the nature of his relationship with Mike remain a mystery. It was speculated that Will is secretly a gay man who has a crush on his best friend, Mike. However, all these speculations were put to rest in season 4, when Will confesses his love to Mike while sitting in the car, pretending to speak from Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) point of view.
Stranger things season 5 was renewed for the final season in February 2022.
