Over 21 years have passed since they got married.
And on Friday, after disembarking from a friend’s yacht, Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas celebrated another joint birthday in style. They dined lavishly in Sardinia.
Both the 78-year-old actor and the 53-year-old actress were born on September 25; however, Michael was born in 1944 while Catherine was born in 1969.
Catherine wore a striped top, black pants, and white sneakers to look effortlessly stylish.
She walked behind Michael, Lawrence Stroll, and his wife Raquel Diniz while wearing a styling cap, a pink scarf, and a shoulder bag.
At the Hotel Cala di Volpe in Porto Cervo, Michael was bundled up in a grey sweater, black jeans, and dress shoes.
Both Michael and Catherine publicly wished the other a happy birthday on Instagram.
The Wall Street actor posted a vintage photo of himself and his wife along with the caption: ‘Happy Birthday Catherine! I love you always & forever’
Then Catherine posted a more recent selfie of the two of them, writing: ‘It’s our Birthday!! After 24 years of celebrating our special day together, I still look forward to it. I love you!!! a la votre!!!!!!!!!!’
It follows Catherine’s tribute to her son when she watched him receive his degree from the esteemed Brown University in May.
Dylan received his diploma after majoring in political science before the Tony Award winner.
Following the ceremony, Catherine posted a picture of her son in a traditional mortar and gown accepting a kiss from his proud mother on Instagram.
She captioned the picture as follows: ‘Graduation congratulations to my boy, my pride, my joy, Dylan. I am inexplicably proud of you and I love you beyond words.’
He broke down in tears the night before when his uncle Lyndon Jones, Catherine’s younger brother, unexpectedly showed up at his pre-graduation dinner.
The 50-year-old stunt performer Lyndon sang loudly to the student as he dined with his friends in Rhode Island, leaving him speechless.
Catherine recorded the event and captioned it: “Surprise! Surprise! Before-graduation dinner is when my son Dylan meets his uncle, who traveled incredibly far from Wales to commemorate this incredible achievement.
‘It was tough keeping this a secret but it was priceless.’
Celebrities like Tracee Ellis Ross, Laura Linney, John Krasinski, and Harry Potter actress Emma Watson have previously attended Brown, a private Ivy League research university.
Following a visit to Dylan’s college campus, Catherine shared a photo of the two of them on Instagram last year.
Daughter Carys, 19, of Catherine and Michal, completed high school in 2021 and is anticipated to follow in her brother’s footsteps by enrolling at Brown.
Catherine posted pictures from her graduation ceremony and stated: ‘What a proud day as our daughter Carys graduates with honors for her International Baccalaureate! You rock, we love you.’
Proud father Michael also said, ‘Congratulations to Carys and the entire class of 2021! Your Mom and I are so proud of you!’
