“The View” viewers and even some of Sunny Hostin’s co-hosts booed her after she said that Raquel Welch, who died Wednesday, and Kim Kardashian are both sex icons.
On Thursday, the hosts paid tribute to the actress, who had died after a short illness. She was best known for her parts in “The Three Musketeers,” “Legally Blonde,” and “Fantastic Voyage.”
Welch was also in “One Million Years B.C.,” but he only had three lines in that movie. Still, her revealing two-piece deerskin bikini from the movie became a popular poster and made her a sex symbol around the world. Joy Behar, the host of the show, said that “they don’t make sex symbols like that anymore” when talking about her legacy.
When Sunny Hostin mentioned Kim Kardashian, the crowd reacted right away by booing and heckling the host. The crowd’s “turning!” was a shock for her, and she showed that she was shocked by it.
But Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, who were in charge of the show, mostly agreed with the people. Whoopi could hardly put two thoughts together to answer Hostin.
Yeah, that’s not even — you can’t even put them in the same, I’m not even — look, I’m moving on,
Whoopi said.
And she did move right on to the next thing to talk about.
