Is the series coming to an end after Supernatural Season 14?
Renewed for season 15 in 2019, Supernatural will have one more season, thereby putting an end to all rumours about the show’s end.
These rumours started after Star Jensen Ackles revealed that he might leave the show with Jared Padalecki after the fourteenth season.
Ackles told EW in 2016:
“300’s a good number to work for.”
“When we get to 300, I think Ackles and I will think it might be time to say bye. There’s a chance that changes, but we certainly do not take it for granted that we’re going to make it to 300.”
The 300th Episode of Supernatural aired on February 7 on the CW.
There will be Season 15 on Supernatural
Jensen took back his statement, telling to TV Line that he revised the statement and 300 seems like a really nice benchmark.
During his interview with TV line, he added, “I think maybe when I said 300, I just didn’t know if we’d keep the quality up, but the quality is higher than it’s ever been.
“I love the storyline, I love what’s going on with the brothers, with the friends, with the family.
“So I love being a part of telling the story, and as long as they’re willing to keep picking us up, then count me in.”
Even co-showrunner on Supernatural Andrew Dabb confirmed that the show isn’t going to end after Supernatural Season 14.
“I don’t think that’s going to be our end. I think we’re going to keep going. I think there are more stories to tell. Three hundred is an awesome, awesome benchmark — very, very few shows get there. It’s like us and Gunsmoke — but I don’t think that’s our ending point.”
Supernatural is the 19th-longest airing US TV series.
