Tasie Lawrence is well-known as an actor, singer, and songwriter. She is the wife of Australian Comedian Jim Jefferies. Her most notable work includes playing Mara Jaffray for Nickelodeon’s TV show House of Anubis which ran from 2011 to 2013. The English actor was born in Brighton, UK.
Tasie Dhanraj was born to Derek and Rebecca Sinnatt in Brighton, England, on December 22, 1990. She is the firstborn of her parents and the elder sister of Tasha Dhanraj. Although she was born in Britain, she is of Asian descent – her mother is English and her father is Guyanese.
She pursued her studies at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, receiving her BA in music. Her long-held enthusiasm for the arts and her music education have certainly been beneficial for her acting and singing career.
Career
Before she dove head-first into her acting career, the actress was a member of a female dark pop group known as the Woo Woos. However, she had to depart the group in order to concentrate on her acting career.
