Taylor Lewis, who used to be on the reality TV show Teen Mom 2, was found dead at age 29. This was confirmed by her sister.
Lewis’s body was found in a hotel on January 5. The cause of her death is “still unknown,” and detectives are said to be looking into the possibility that she was killed.
The 29-year-old woman from North Carolina was on Teen Mom 2 in 2014 with her ex-best friend, Jenelle Evans, who told her that she was pregnant.
The two stopped being friends soon after the show ended, but they never said why.
Her sister, Haylee Lewis, said:
I’ve been speaking with detectives too, and they are saying they saw footage of two men with Taylor in the hotel room,” adding that she was found dead by a housekeeper “hours later.
At this point, there is not much else known about how Taylor Lewis died.
Evans posted a tribute to her former friend on Facebook after the news came out. She wrote this with a series of photos of the two of them:

We were once best friends and we went our separate ways because of the diff crowds we chose to hangout with. I wanted to see you eventually flourish as a woman from a distance but was always rooting for you.
I don’t know what happened but I am very saddened to hear this news and hope you’re resting easy. I’m so sorry and sending your family prayers, #SweetAngel #RIP.
She added:
(I feel awful for not answering her in March 2022, but I felt like she wasn’t doing her best).
Evans also urged her followers:

Taylor Lewis was once married to Courtland Rogers. They had a daughter together, Jordan Ashlee Nikole Lewis, who was born in 2011.
After they broke up, Rogers started dating Evans, and the two got married in 2012. About a month after their wedding, Evans filed for divorce.
In 2014, when Lewis was a guest on Teen Mom 2, Evans told her:
I did relapse [on heroin] one time and that was when I met Courtland.
Me and him, we got married only after three months of dating. I’m so mad at myself for marrying someone that I didn’t think through.
She continued:
I went to the doctor the other day ‘cause I was sick. And they were like, ‘We can’t give you a chest X-ray because you’re pregnant.’
Evans later said she was “upset” with herself and decided to have an abortion.
She has a 5-year-old daughter named Ensley with her husband, David Eason. Evans also has a 13-year-old son named Jace with Andrew Lewis and an 8-year-old son named Kaiser with Nathan Griffith.
Lewis had written in her Twitter profile that her own daughter was “the best thing that ever happened to me.”
