New Orleans Saints will host the Houston Texans on Monday night football and it’s going to be amazing. The Saints have made some smart changes in their roster and they are ready to defend their AFC South division title. The Texans might not have won any titles but they are a very consistent team. Saints are predicted to lay 7 points at home with the highest game total of Week 1 at 52.5 points.
Jadeveon Clowney has left the Texans and they got Laremy Tunsil in an exchange deal. It might be interesting to see how Deshaun Watson fairs in that situation. Drew Brees on the other hand is not doing a good job as a quarterback and it might prove fatal for the Saints. Here are NFL predictions, betting odds and spread picks for the Texans vs Saints Week 1 game.
Deshaun Watson to be the next MVP?
Deshaun Watson is entering his third year with the Texans and he’s getting better each season. The Texans could prove to be a great bet as their point spread will be too high for a touchdown. Watson can be the next Patrick Mahomes or Carson Wentz and lead his team to greatness.
In 5 career primetime games, #Texans QB @deshaunwatson has recorded 1,210 pass yards, 15 touchdowns (13 pass, 2 rush) & a 122.4 passer rating.
Houston is 4-1 in those games & outscored their opponents 142-107 (+35). In 2018 alone, Watson was 3-0 in primetime with a 131.1 rating. pic.twitter.com/MEHKCOiPnM

The quarterback has every talent required to be the next MVP of NFL as he won his college championship and have a taste for victory. Watson is only 23 and already have 4,165 yards, 26 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 2018. The Texans might not have a great offensive line but Watson can still prove fatal in the game against the Saints.
Drew Brees is not the Best
The Saints are going to score a lot of points on Monday and even have a home advantage. They have been scoring four 40 points in more than half of their games last season. Although, the preseason games were not good for the New Orleans team with just a total of 46 points in two games.

Drew Brees threw for 206 yards and is one of the worst quarterbacks in NFL right now. The Texans can use it as their advantage as it’s the only thing lacking in the Saints. JJ Watt and Watson can prove crucial for the Texans vs Saints game and Monday night will be a big entertainment event.
