YouTube in the year 2018, is defined as the annual recap of the selling of the music, videos as well as trends. It has become the second-most disliked video in the history of the website.
The 2018 YouTube Rewind has reportedly amassed over 6.8 million dislikes which comes second to Justin Bieber’s hit single Baby that has reportedly been disliked over 9.7 million times. Given that the dislike of Bieber Baby’s has come in the course of eight years, it took only three years for YouTube to reach the ultimate dislike milestone.
The criticism for Rewind 2018 originated as it didn’t include a few of the top-notch stars of YouTube such as Shane Dawson, PewDiePie and Logan Paul. The comment section of the video that sought whether the website is subscribed to the most-subscribed YouTuber till date.
Felix Kjellberg aka PewDiePie reportedly released a reaction video where he has criticised the stereotypical saturation of Fortnite video game along with people’s inclusion who aren’t the major personalities of YouTube like the hosts of US talk show John Oliver and Trevor Noah who allegedly do the dances of Fortnight.
