Gordon Ramsay is known for taking cooking very seriously. To put it simply, the British chef gets angry a lot on his reality shows. It might look like he acts the same in real life, but his wife says he’s much nicer and warmer than he seems on TV.
The story of the Ramsey family is very interesting to us at Hiptoro. We were impressed by both Tana, who was so sweet that she was able to win over the explosive chef, and Gordon Ramsay, who was so strong that he and his wife got through everything in life.
Gordon Ramsay was waiting for Tana and his friend to break up.
In 1992, Gordon Ramsay and Tana met. He went to the house where he kept his bike and ran into Tana there. He liked her right away, but she was already with his friend Tim, which was too bad.
Gordon didn’t help her fight. He was waiting for Tana to get back on her own. And as soon as she ended things with Tim and Gordon thought she might like him again, he took the first step. He was so nervous on their first date that he knocked her down, but that didn’t stop them from falling in love.

The first test of Tana and Gordon’s relationship came right at the start. Ramsay wanted to be a good chef at one of London’s best restaurants, so he often worked for 16 hours a day. At the time, they didn’t see each other very often, but Tana seemed to understand. So, they met during the few times when Gordon wasn’t working.
I would work, come home, sleep, and wake up again when Gordon finished work. We’d meet up in the small hours. That was the only way we could be together, and we really wanted to be together.
The few times they met were worth it. In 1996, just before Christmas, they got married in Chelsey. Since then, their relationship has only gotten stronger, even though the short amount of time they spent together at the beginning was just the first problem they had to face.
They had trouble conceiving but they still had kids.
After they got married, it was hard for them to have a child. Tana was first told she had polycystic ovary syndrome, and then Gordon was told he couldn’t have children. But they didn’t give up, and they decided to try IVF. Lucky for them, it worked, and in 1998, their first daughter, Megan, was born. But they didn’t stop there. About a year later, they had Jack and Holly, two cute twins.
And the family had a new cook in 2001. Little Matilda was born. When she was 9, she started appearing on her dad’s cooking shows. When she was 14, she started her own show called “Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch,” in which all of her big, loving family took part.
They lost their fifth child.
Gordon Ramsay and Tana had four kids, and then they lost one of them. In May 2016, they told everyone that they were going to have another child. But a month later, Gordon said the baby wouldn’t be born. At that time, Tana needed his support a lot. She said that Gordon couldn’t be there when their four kids were born, but he was with her when it mattered most.
Gordon was with me throughout that entire process, and there’s no way I could have done it without him right there by my side.
In 2017, the oldest daughter ran the London Marathon in honor of her brother. Four years later, Tana wrote a post on Instagram to support other parents.
When their youngest son was born, Gordon Ramsay passed out.
The loss made the family stronger, and the husband and wife cared for each other even more. Gordon Ramsay never left Tana, and when she had their fifth child, Oscar, in April 2019, he was close by.
I fainted. I was sat there and Oscar popped out through the sunroof and then they sort of throw you on him, and he’s screaming, and I fell back, the nurse grabbed me.
This is how the Ramsays finally got over what had happened. The love and care of Oscar’s parents and siblings was all around him. Gordon Ramsay and Tana said they were going to have their sixth child soon, and maybe even their seventh.

We were devastated, but thankfully we’re through the worst now. It could happen at any time to anyone,

The loss of a family member led them to start the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation. The foundation works closely with places like Great Ormond Street Hospital to raise money for sick children who need to stay in the hospital for a long time. The amazing organization has helped a lot of families since it started.
Even though there are rumors of cheating, they trust each other.
Gordon Ramsay and Tana’s strong marriage helped them get through two tough tests of trust. So, at the end of 2008, a woman named Sarah Symonds said she had dated Ramsay for seven years. Gordon said it was a lie, and he was sorry that he had to tell Tana something that really upset her. She let him off the hook because she believed him.
And Gordon Ramsay was okay with the fact that Tana’s father stole more than 1.5 million pounds from Ramsay when he worked for him. Gordon said that it made them stronger as a family.
We had our family to protect, and you become territorial. We looked after each other. And it’s actually brought us — me, Tana and the children—closer than we’ve ever been before. Our marriage is stronger as a result of it all.
They help each other with their careers and stick together.
Tana spent most of her time with her husband and children. But in November 2011, she said she would no longer be a housewife and would instead start a beauty salon called All About The Girl. Gordon Ramsay knew how patient Tana was because, at the start of his career, he worked 16 hours a day. It was now his turn. He was there for his wife and helped her reach her goal.
This amazing couple went through a lot of hard times together, but they still loved, supported, and trusted each other. It might seem like so many problems would make it impossible for anyone to stay together, but the Ramsay family is not afraid of problems. So, Tana found out in an interview how she and Gordon had been able to stay together for so long:
It has been a lot of hard work, long hours and juggling with kids, home, family, work. It doesn’t happen if you are not a team from the beginning. We have always been a team.
