The controversial “Baby Its Cold Outside” is in the top 10. The classic Christmas song by Dean Martin provoked a lot of controversies as people claimed the song to be provoking sexual harassment.
The song is a cult classic from 1944 where a man asks a woman to spend the night with him rather than going out on a chilly winter night.
Many radio stations banned the song claiming that it promoted rape and other forms of sexual harassment. However, recently one radio station of Kentucky put up a two-hour marathon of the song. This helped Martin’s version to surge up by 35 percent reaching to 11.1 million downloads till now.
There were several attempts to take down the song but it received support from William Shatner, Deana Martin, and Dennis Quaid as they pledged that this will be their forever Christmas song.
Whatever be the case, the song is now successfully sitting in the top 10 on digital sales chart for the first time ever. Congratulations Dean Martin.
