It is pretty evident that The Elder Scrolls 6 isn’t coming anytime soon, but that hasn’t stopped the fans from talking about its release date.
In a recent interview with IGN Todd Howard, executive producer, and director at Bethesda, Game Studios spoke about the next Elder Scrolls.
I bet for The Elder Scrolls 6, your character will be a prisoner on their way to be executed, but you'll be saved just in the nick of time…#AllElderScrollsGamesStartThisWay

He said that “everyone should be very patient” when it comes to the release of the game. As many have inferred, this statement could be a hint that Elder Scrolls 6 might be delayed.
As per reports, Bethesda is focusing all its resource in the development of its new IP Starfield.
The Elder Scrolls 6 release might get delayed to 2024
By the looks of it, The Elder Scrolls 6 is likely to be released in 2024 because of the studio’s release cycle.
In an interview, with Pete Hines, SVP of Global Marketing and Communication at Bethesda said that the studio would stick to the three-year gap between the release of two titles.
Following this logic Fallout 76 was released in 2019 add three years we get the release date of Starfield which is 2021. Add three more years, and we get the release date of The Elder Scroll 6, which is 2024.
The Elder Scrolls 6 will be playable for at least a decade
Todd Howard explained that there are several reasons for the delay of the game.
According to Todd, the current hardware was unable to handle the features that the development team envisioned to incorporate in the game.
It might be a valid reason which we expect will be addressed when Sony and Microsoft release their next-gen console.
Tom Howard said that the wait would be worthwhile as when the games come out it will be playable for at least a decade.
