The Good Doctor Season 3 is returning after the major success of the first two seasons. The main protagonist of the show, Dr. Shaun Murphy is played by Eddie Highmore and fans want to know if he’ll back for this season.

Eddie Highmore will feature in the third season. ABC confirmed that Highmore will not leave the show when they announced the third season. The return of Highmore was also confirmed when ABC had released a statement. And the statement read that all the doctors at the San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital will return for The Good Doctor Season 3.

The Good Doctor cast has responded actively to the renewal of the third season. Gonzalez, who plays Dr Melendez also posted a tweet about the upcoming third season of the Good Doctor. Daniel Dae Kim (Dr Han) tweeted, “Congrats to our @GoodDoctorABC family, friends, and fans. Here’s to The Good Doctor Season 3!” Christina Chang, who plays Dr Audrey Lim also expressed her excitement with a tweet.
What is the release date for The Good Doctor Season 3?
The release date has not been announced by ABC yet. Nevertheless, we can take some hints from the previous two seasons. Previously, Season 1 was released in September 2017 and the second season aired in September 2018. Hence, it should not be a big surprise if season 3 releases in September 2019.

The Good Doctor season 2 episode 18 will feature on ABC on 11 March 2018. And the third season will continue the story from the season finale. The promo video for the final episode of season shows Shaun getting hospitalised after a fight in a bar. Now all depends on if he will recover or not.
