The Google Pixel 3 XL is regarded as the best Android Phone till date, and we too agree to that. It’s been two weeks since it was launched and all the users have given out the reviews that Pixel 3 XL provides the best Android experience. However, there is one mandatory feature in this phone, which is the worst ever Android feature ever: the appalling new multi-tasking system. The same feature was optional in Pixel 2.
The whole multi-tasking feature of Pixel 3 is kind of similar to Apple’s approach on Iphone X. Swiping up from the bottom will bring up the multitasking overview while swiping across will bring the navigation bar which allows up to flip between apps.
Apple was able to beautifully implement this feature making it even more loved than before. But on the other hand, Google’s implementation of the same is filled with annoyance and internal contradictions. While Apple continued to trash its old fundamental features while implementing the new ones, Google held onto that. Google introduced a swiping up for multi-tasking, which was initially meant for app drawer. And instead of getting rid of the app drawer, it included it in the swiping down drop box. Now imagine, a phone as big as size of Pixel 3 XL, and you have to do a swipe down from the top. This is a sin committed by Google, which might get Google to stash its new feature pretty soon.
