Pros: Releasing the ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ season 3 in June 2019 would give the show enough time to get the fans’ attention. The hype around the final season of Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame would be trending during April and May 2019.
Cons: On the other hand, it would not be able to get a nomination in the best drama category at the Emmys. Only complete seasons that were aired between 1 June 2018 and 31 May 2019 would be eligible for the nominations. The show would only be eligible for individual categories.

The last episode of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ named ‘The Word’ featured the final act of June staying behind in Gilead to search for her oldest daughter Hannah. Author Margaret Atwood has also announced a sequel to the book that The Handmaid’s Tale is based on. The release date for ‘The Testaments’ will be in September 2019.
