What is The Last Kingdom about?
The show is based on the story of Uhtred of Bebbanburg, who was a Saxon by birth and reared by Danes. The Last Kingdom is based on The Saxon Story Books and made its debut n BBC 2 in UK. Based on the reviews by critics, the show has an average rating of 7.71/10.

The show has already covered the story of first 10 volumes. At MCM London Comic-Con, Nigel Marchant said that Season 5 would be the last one. They want to make a movie on the tale left untold. Instead of Season 6 of The Last Kingdom, fans will get to see a movie titled Seven Kings Must Die.
