The Last of Us 2 release date is getting closer and with that Naughty Dog is releasing new gameplay videos for the title. The recent Shambler teaser shows the creature from the first game who has now adapted and mutated into a powerful creature. Ellie will be the main playable character in The Last of Us 2 gameplay and will have certain combat updates. Fans are also worried that “The Last of Us Part 2” delay can happen due to the Coronavirus pandemic as the hands-on demo of the game was canceled.
The Last of Us 2 Gameplay: Shambler and the Deadly Gas Attack
The Last of Us 2 gameplay will feature the Shambler which is the latest infected creature to undergo a mutation. It will make the creatures extra creepy, increase their capabilities and make the combat more challenging in The Last of Us sequel. Naughty Dog released a four-seconds preview teaser for the gameplay where the Shambler is referred as a tank class enemy.

The Last of Us 2 gameplay teaser shows that Shambler run towards the target and on coming close explodes to release a hazardous gas. The teaser shows that the gas is very dangerous and can hurt Ellie and the other infected classes of Runner and Clicker too. It will make the game much more difficult when all the three enemies are present and attacking using the gas as a cover. The Last of Us 2 preview also shows that the Shambler can burn a person’s skin and may affect Ellie’s accuracy and focus during the combat.
The Last of Us 2 Release Date Delay due to Coronavirus
The Last of Us 2 one hour hands-on demo show at the PAX East was canceled over the Coronavirus pandemic and Naughty Dog tried to cover it by releasing a few gameplay previews. One of the other “The Last of Us Part 2” gameplay preview shows Ellie jumping over crates and trucks as she is very agile in combat.

Fans are worried that Naughty Dog might not deliver on the promise of releasing The Last of Us 2 on the given schedule. The PlayStation exclusive game might be delayed over the Coronavirus crisis, but the gaming studio has said nothing on the rumors. The Last of Us 2 release date is currently given as May 29 and hopefully it is not delayed due to the Covid-19 infection.
