All the noise around the release of The Last of Us Part 2 seems more mysterious than Indiana Jones’ Kingdom of Akator. The man behind the wheel of this popular game, Neil Druckmann, has been talking about its filming without even throwing light on its release date.

This is like going around with Thor’s hammer Mjolnir to kill werewolves that are not even there. The fans of the show around the globe have turned into blood-sucking zombies, waiting for the release date to come from the makers themselves.
The Last of Us Part 2: Slated for a 2019 release?
However, the recent announcement on the game has given some sort of relief to the fans. It hints of a release late in 2019. But it’s got to be combined with the tweet shot by Druckmann in the past. This tweet had information about its sequel hidden like some book of ghosts in secret chambers.
And that’s a wrap on Ellie, Joel, and the most ambitious cinematic shoot we’ve ever done. Tears were shed… #TheLastOfUsPartII pic.twitter.com/mRnlP54u4N

The last few months have seen a lot of claims being made by retailers around the world. One such retailer claimed that the game will be out on Sept 27 this year. The authenticity of which is yet to be verified. On the other hand, some said “The Last of Us Part 2” will be out in October.
PlayStation spilling the beans
On the other hand, PlayStation too stirred the world by hinting the show to be a title that will no longer be with it this year. And that is not just it.
There are a number of claims and tweets and whatnot that clearly hint at the show being flagged off late in 2019. Druckmann had himself in the year 2017 claimed that the shooting of the game is more than 50 percent complete.
So the shoot seems over and the leaks are going crazy. It is an ideal combination of a product coming out soon. We hope everything goes fine so that we get to see its release on time.
