If you are using your smartphone too much and, you want to minimize your distraction, then this phone is perfect for you. There is a new phone ‘palm’ which may b helpful and handy in your case. It is a Tiny and intriguing phone which cost around $350 and will be available from November. It comes from a startup in San Francisco, which purchased rights for the name from TCL last year.

But there is a problem, it’s only available as an add-on, so, you can’t just go and buy this little weird phone. You have to add-on this device to your Verizon plan, which shares your phone number. This phone is a perfect sidekick for your phone. This phone is mainly design for on to go life. According to the official website,
“Designed for life on to go, Palm is an ultra-mobile product that syncs with your smartphone to keep you connected but not consumed.”
This new palm phone is more like a look-alike of a little iPhone. Its designers say that they weren’t aiming for this. Their design goals of making a little phone, which is handy and comfortable and be tucked away in your hand led to the shape. It is just 50 x 97 mm, comparable to credit card size. But, it’s 7.4mm thick and weighs 62.5g. As it is very small, so, there is no headphone jack or wireless charging. It has a single USB-C port.
It is a handy phone, having a tiny 3.3 inches, 445 ppi LCD display. The rear camera is 12 megapixel and also have an 8 megapixel front camera. It has a processor just like a low end phone- the Snapdragon435 – paired with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage. So, not so much power as compared to other Android phones. But as it has a tiny screen, so there is the fewer pixel to drive, making this phone fast enough.
Palm has customized a bunch of software to make Android 8.1 work better on tiny screen and to ensure that it does a better job in preventing distraction.

There’s an only single virtual button just like iPhone’s Home button which takes you to home by tapping twice, one tap for back, and a long button takes you to multitasking screen. Since it is very tiny, so there are no volume buttons, for adjusting volume you have to go to the quick setting panel. It has also a face unlock feature that uses the 8 megapixel camera. But, can’t say how much secure it is.
Well, Palm can’t do much. That is what this phone made for. Just enough feature which is requires most in daily life without distracting you. Also, it is tiny so, it is very handy. This way It may become a perfect sidecar for your phone.
