Apple has finally announced a refreshed and redesign of iPad Pro with slimmer screen bezels. The new 2018 iPad Pro is much more potent than its predecessors along with a Face ID, and a new USB Type-C port. Just like its predecessors, the 2018 iPad Pro comes with two screen sizes 11 inches and 12.9 inches respectively.
The 11-inch iPad model has the same proportions to the previous 10.5-inch model whereas the 12.9-inch iPad Pro model has managed to put the same-sized display into a significantly small form factor. The price of the new iPad Pro starts at $799 and $999 for the 11-inch and 12.9-inch models respectively. The pre-orders of the iPad Pro has already, and it will begin shipping on 7th of November.
The 2018 iPad Pro is the first of all the iPads to ditch the traditional home button and ditching the home button resulted in extending the size of the screen. The bezels are downsized on all the four sides just like the new iPhone XR. Apple calls this type of screen as Liquid Retina Display. Both the screen sizes offer the ProMotion technology for fluid and smooth performance of the display. The iPad even sports gesture navigation like the iPhone X.
2018 iPad Pro has also ditched the headphone jack. The buyers have to get their hands on the USB-C headphone connector to hear music via wired headphones. Apple is all set to release its headphone adapter at $9, and this won’t be a part of the box.
The new iPad sports a Face ID and the TrueDepth camera setup like the iPhone X. Unlike the iPhone XS, X and XR, the new iPad Pro doesn’t sport a notch. The Face ID components are placed in the top, and this also means that Animoji and Memoji will come to the iPad for the first time.
The iPad Pros are powered with A12X Bionic Chip with 8-Core CPU and 7-Core GPU. The new iPad also offers 1TB of inbuilt flash storage.
