The Sims franchise is one of the best selling video game series of all time by EA Games. It has been 19 years since the first game The Sims was released. After that, four sequels and a lot of spin-offs are launched.

The possibility of another Sims game was dependent on the success of The Sims 4. There is no fixed release date, but reports says that Maxis developers are working on The Sims 5.
The Sims 5: Fan feature request
The Sims 4 was released in 2014, and thereafter fans have been waiting for its successor. People have large expectations from The Sims 5, which the spin-offs can never fulfill.
Lots of fan requests and user feedback are posted on EA forums daily. With the speculations getting strong about the next game, we have prepared a wishlist. Here are the five new features, we want to see in The Sims 5.
1. Larger Open World
The Sims 4 removed the seamless explorations of an open world and instead we have to select areas from the menu. While The Sims 3 had that feature, it lacked in the graphics department. It would be nice to have the open world back with improved effects.
2. Customization of Characters
The Create a Sim option gives the user a chance to customize their characters, but it is lacking in the details. Players want to completely customize the skin, eye color, hair, tattoos, body type, etc of their characters. It separates them from the crowd and gives a unique feel.
3. More Operating Vehicles
While the Sims 3 had a huge collection of vehicles like bike, scooter, Car, Van, etc, the 4th version made it limited. Players want more and more vehicles which can be driven around. Also, the distribution should be equal so that they don’t find themselves in an empty slot.
4. Proper Aging Effects
The Sims only have a limited set of age, grouped into only a few categories. People would love a progressive aging effect where their Sims character ages week by week. Players would feel a proper connection with their Avatar this way.
5. Default Auto-Save
The biggest complaints from The Sims user is losing their game progress due to glitches and power cuts. Having a default auto-save, that stores the game at a regular interval will be a lot helpful. Players won’t lose their created items that way.
Release Date
EA has been releasing The Sims every 4 to 5 years regularly. Sims 5 should release in 2019 or 2020 that way. The game is still in progress, no solid reports about the release date are out.
The best guess is that EA can release Th Sims 5 next year on the 20th Anniversary of Sims franchise in February. It would be a great occasion for the launch of their game. Stay tuned to Hiptoro for more The Sims 5 updates and other news.
