Ross Chastain will be driving Xfinity car full-time for Chip Ganassi Racing in 2019. DC Solar has sponsored Chastain who will drive iconic No. 42 car. Team owner Ganassi said that we believe in Ross Chastain’s ability to win races and championships. Chastain drove thrice for No. 42 team this season finishing with pole and subsequently challenging for the win at Darlington. He won the next race in Las Vegas in Ganassi car.

Chastain has driven for JD Motorsports in the championship since 2015. He described the feeling of joining Ganassi as unreal and exciting. Breaking into NASCAR seven years ago, Chastain has raced in 137 Xfinity Series races during his career with 4 career top-5 and 15 top-10 finishes. Chastain also runs for Premium Motorsports in Monster Energy NASCAR Cup.
He expressed his gratitude to his current team Johnny Davis Motorsports and credited his current position to Johnny’s support. He said that whatever Johnny did for his career was “incredible.”
