The Umbrella Academy Season 2 confirmed
The show is based on a comic book of the same name and after binging the first season, fans have been waiting for the online streaming giant to renew the show for a second season. It appears that their wishes have been granted since Netflix has officially confirmed Season 2.
Not only that, showrunner Steve Blackman has even said that there could be multiple seasons of the show. For now, filming of The Umbrella Academy Season 2 is expected to start later this year in Toronto, Canada.
The first episode of the second season will be directed by Peter Hoar. He also directed the pilot and finale of the first installment. Netflix has confirmed that Season 2 will have 10 episodes, just like the first one.
No release date yet
With the shooting already underway, we can expect season 2 to drop on Netflix in February of next year, the same time at which season 1 was released. However, if shooting takes longer, we may not see the return of the show until late 2020.
