The Watcher, Ryan Murphy’s latest suspenseful show, has only been on Netflix for a week, but people have already flocked to watch it.
But a large number of these viewers have said that they were disappointed by how the series ended.
The seven-part show, which is based on real events, stars Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale as a married couple who are forced out of their dream home by an unknown stalker.
After moving to a big, fancy house in New Jersey, the Brannock family starts getting ominous and threatening letters. This goes on throughout the TV show.
The trailer is below.
Imagine moving into your dream home and immediately receiving a menacing letter from someone who says they're watching your family at all times… what would you do?

As the episodes go on, the couple starts to suspect everyone around them, from their neighbors to their real estate agent, because they want to find out who “The Watcher” is and stop being scared.
The fact that the show is based on what happened to Derek and Maria Broaddus in real life is probably the scariest thing about it.
But for the series to stay true to its original source material, it must end without coming to any meaningful conclusions. The Broaddusses were never able to figure out who was following them in real life, and the end of the show doesn’t tell viewers anything about who The Watcher really was.
Many people were not happy with how this show ended because it left them wanting more. They didn’t like how the story ended, and they said so on Twitter. They said it was the “worst” ending they’d ever seen.
“If you’re thinking of watching “the watcher” on Netflix… DON’T. the most underwhelming pointless series I have ever seen. 7 hours of my life I will never get back,” one tweeted.
“Just finished The Watcher on Netflix – what a pointless, pointless series. Made absolutely no sense and [the] ending was horrific,” slammed another.
A third blasted the show: “If you’re going to start The Watcher on Netflix, don’t. Officially the worst ending I’ve ever seen.”

I just finished watching #TheWatcher on Netflix and, despite having a really promising premise, the ending of this show WAS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.
I haven't been THIS pissed about investing time in a show and getting this soggy diaper of an ending.
Lazy bullshit.
