The Winds of Winter release date is something that every fan of the book series as well as Game of Thrones TV series is eagerly waiting. George RR Martin has made a lot of promises but it has been eight years and still, there is no TWOW novel out.

The latest cryptic tweet from HBO might hint at an early Christmas release date for ‘The Winds of Winter’ as GRRM’s last novel is coming out soon. Here is more information on TWOW release date and whether George fulfill his promise or not?
Will George RR Martin Release TWOW on the Promised Time?
George RR Martin in May 2019 promised his fans that ‘The Winds of Winter’ will be published before August next year but the question remains is whether he will fulfill that promise or not? The 82-year-old author had promised his fans to come out with the next book in the ASOIAF series on time, but given his age and other projects, there are very fewer chances of that happening.
[blockquote footer=”George RR Martin”]If I don’t have THE WINDS OF WINTER in hand when I arrive in New Zealand for Worldcon, you have here my formal written permission to imprison me in a small cabin on White Island, overlooking that lake of sulfuric acid, until I’m done. Just so long as the acrid fumes do not screw up my old DOS word processor, I’ll be fine.[/blockquote]
The Winds of Winter Release Date and Tweet Connection
The Winds of Winter by George RR Martin may have an early Christmas release date which was hinted by the cryptic HBO tweet. It just said, ‘Winter is Coming’ without any context.
Winter is coming.
— Game of Thrones (@GameOfThrones) November 25, 2019
The Winter is Coming website cleared the rumor by saying the tweet is about Blu-Ray and DVD release of Game of Thrones Season 8 and not about TWOW novel. There is no way a book such as The Winds of Winter releases earlier, even if it comes out on the given schedule, fans should be thankful.
