So, George R.R. Martin released some excerpts from ‘The Winds of Winter’ to make up for the release dates that he has missed. He has released the preview for the first nine chapters. And this should allow the readers to have a fair idea about what to expect from the novel.
So, according to The Winds of Winter previews, the chapters are named, Theon, Arriane, Victarion, Barristan I, Tyrion I, Barristan II, Tyrion II, Arya/Mercy, Sansa/Alayne, and Aeron.
Martin’s take on Game of Thrones ending
On the other hand, Martin is reportedly disappointed with the Game of Thrones ending. Express reported that he is not satisfied with the ending and wants a different ending to the show. He expressed that the show portrayed some characters and plot lines differently than the book. He preferred the showrunners to portray the story exactly as he had done it. GRRM said, “The show has not really been totally faithful. I wish there were more seasons.”
When is the book going to launch?
Coming back to his new book, GRRM does not want to reveal the release date of ‘The Winds of Winter’. Because he has already missed a couple of due dates and does not want to disappoint the fans anymore. But, there have predictions that The Winds of Winter will launch in 2020 or early 2021.
