The Witcher 4 has finally been confirmed and work on the new action-adventure game will start soon. CD Projekt Red president Adam Kicińsk has said that they will start working on a new “Witcher” after Cyberpunk 2077 is released out in the stores. The team at the gaming studio has a relatively clear concept and it will be a totally new story.
After Cyberpunk 2077 releases, this is the focus going forward:
Team 1 – Add on content for Cyberpunk 2077
Team 2 – Multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077, planned for 2022.

The Witcher 4 story will be based on the books by the Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski who works have been the main motivation behind every Witcher media franchise. But that doesn’t mean the gaming studio is lazy, the developers try their best to create a game that can be played for several years. Assuming the development starts at the end of this year, The Witcher 4 will take a minimum of 3-4 years and will launch around the year 2023-24.
