Have you ever seen a sheep and cat’s friendship? If not, you are going to see one today.
This is a sweet story about Charlie the sheep. He was put for adoption online by his former owner after his mother died. After seeing the adoption advertisement, animal lovers decided to adopt the cute sheep. But the owner refused to give the sheep to any sanctuaries.
The co-founder of Happy Tails Farm Sanctuary, Carla Reilly Moore said, “farmers often do not like sanctuaries as we do expose the dark side of the industry.”
After this, a man from the sanctuary went undercovered to adopt the lamb and he did it. The people working in the sanctuary tried hard to get the lamb back to health. But he only found comfort in a rescue pet named Dora the cat.
“Dora the kitten ran straight to his crate, and stayed with him until he woke up and came out to play again,” Moore said.
“Dora and Charlie have a kinship now, both animals were in dire need, and both animals were taken in by us, both animals were brought back to health, and together they are now living out their life here at Happy Tails Farm,” says Moore, “they had an instant connection — like it was always meant to be.”
