With peace and harmony against Trump’s administration, Democrats invited Trans Military Personnel. These are the guests to the State of Union. Speaker of the House Nancy Peloski and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York are the ones who sent the invite. But what is the essence of the invitation?
Reason for the invite to the State of Union
This is not the first time that Democrats are taking such step. Might be for self-gain or some other reason. But the invitation was actually regarding the ban against the trans-gender to the military.
Later during Trump’s administration, Supreme court reversed Obama’s policy regarding entry of Transgenders to the military. This judgement laid a partial ban of trans-personnel to the military.
Trans Military members are serving the nation and they are as patroit as anyone else could be. They are capable enough and will serve the nation to their last breadth.
Personnel already employed in the military are serving the nation and they are no less than other genders. This gender discrimination by Trump is not a positive step but a black hole.
Who are the guests and why are they invited?
Trans Military Guest to the State of Union
Speaker Pelosi at a press conference announced that Captain Jennifer Peace and Major Ian Brown are the guests to the Union.
Captain Peace is the director at large to the LGBT military advocacy group SPART*A. At the meeting with NBC News, she spoke about her feelings regarding the upcoming presidential elections.
At NBC she also commented,
By excluding the trans service personel in the military will indirectly weaken military and may hamper national security.
Gillibrand, who is going to run for president in 2020, invited Navy Lieutenant Commander Blake Dremann, a transman as her guest to the State of the Union.
Dremann is a renowned Navy Officer who has been deployed eleven times and received many awards and medals. Some of his success includes the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, etc. He also serves as the Board member to SPART*A.
Patriots like Lt. Commander Blake Dremann—the first openly transgender servicemember to be promoted in our military's history, and the president of @sparta_pride—make our armed forces and our country stronger. I’m honored he’ll be joining me at the State of the Union. pic.twitter.com/hzjIiMll5U

Other Democrats in the Race
Pelosi and Gillibrand are not the only ones who thought of inviting the trans military personnel to the State of the Union.
A Democrat from Virginia, Rep. Donald McEachin also asked Navy Petty Officer Second Class Megan Winters, a transwoman to accompany him. Winter has served six years in Navy.
She is one of the plaintiffs to the famous federal lawsuit against the partial trans military ban. This is lead by Lambda Legal, the nation largest LGBT legal firm. The case is Karnoski v Trump and is in relation to the constitutionality of the ban.
