The Miami Heats’ point guard Tyler Herro is most likely to play for another team the next season. The Heat are making efforts to land Damian Lillard, and if that happens, they will not need Tyler anymore.
The Blazers’ Damian Lillard has requested a move to the Miami Heat, and with the amount of resources they currently have, it looks very unlikely. One way this deal might get completed is the involvement of a third team. The Heats can try getting some assets for Tyler Herro and exchange those for Damian. What options do they have? Here are 3 destinations that are most likely to be Tyler’s new home.
Tyler Herro to the Charlotte Hornets?
The Hornets have LaMelo Ball as their point guard, he is a big man, and Tyler can complement him pretty well. They might struggle a bit at the back, but things can work out. A few draft picks along with Gordon Hayward or PJ Washington, might be enough to land Tyler.

Tyler Herro to the Toronto Raptors?
If Pascal Siakam leaves, the Raptors would officially announce their rebuilding phase. They are doing it right now as well, and since the clouds are looming over Pascal’s stay, signing Tyler can be the boost they need in this fresh beginning. They can trade out Boucher or Thad, while Pascal’s swap can not be ruled out as well.

Tyler Herro to the San Antonio Spurs?
The Spurs have a lot of draft picks and enough salary space to fit in Tyler. There are a few players they can trade off since their contract is expiring. They have a good roster with Victor Wembanyama, but the point guard spot seems a bit weak as of now. Tre Jones is a decent player, but the Spurs need a backup or replacement for him.
Herro can start for the Spurs as the sixth man. He can function as a spot-up shooter alongside Johnson, Vassell, and Jones. The Spurs can become the team to beat next season.
Where would the Heats send him? Would the Spurs be able to add Tyler to their roster? We’ll keep you updated.
