UFC 242 Khabib vs Poirier: What Went Down?
The main event of UFC 242 witnessed Khabib Nurmagomedov extending his winning streak to 28-0-0. The undefeated Russian managed to score a relatively easy win over Dustin Poirier, who submitted to a rear-naked choke in the third round.
Khabib’s domination in the mat was clear all throughout the fight and while Poirier did manage to get some shots at him, and had him caught in a strong Guillotine, he just didn’t have what it takes to defeat Khabib. After the fight, the two embraced. Khabib even jumped the cage to hug Dana White.
Let's be completely clear about this.
The only fight – and I mean the ONLY fight – to make at lightweight NEXT…
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson.
There is no alternative.
