Months after UFC 229, Khabib Nurmagomedov has now commented as to what McGregor told him after the match. Let us take a closer look at what it was:
What Did Conor McGregor Say to Khabib Nurmagomedov?
In a recent statement, Khabib said that he is not interested in facing Conor McGregor anytime soon. He reminded that he made McGregor tap out, and that while he was tapping out, McGregor said ‘Please don’t kill me’. This is a huge claim made by Khabib and McGregor is likely to deny this to preserve his status as the alpha male of the UFC.
Following this match, the violence between the two competitors spilled beyond the octagon for which both of them were handed bans and penalties. It will be interesting to see if we get to see a McGregor vs Khabib rematch again.
When Will A McGregor vs Khabib Rematch Take Place?
The rematch between these two rivals has been a talking point ever since McGregor tapped out. The ball is now in Khabib’s court and he has to agree to a fight with McGregor. However, it is indeed going to be a while before we see the McGregor vs Khabib rematch because Khabib is to face Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 and McGregor is unlikely to return anytime before late 2019!
