Umbrella Academy, the superhero show based on a comic series of the same name, is getting renewed for season 2. Netflix has confirmed that Umbrella Academy season 2 is well and truly on its way.
The show debuted on February 15 of this year and in short time the show gained popularity especially in the US and UK.
So it is obvious that Netflix would like to cash-in the show‘s notoriety for its benefit.
The is series developed by Steve Blackman and Jeremy Slater. The whole plot of the show is based around a group of adopted sibling superheroes who try to solve the mystery surrounding their father’s death and also evade the threat of a menacing apocalypse.

When is The Umbrella Academy Season 2 airing on Netflix?
Netflix has already given a green signal to The Umbrella Academy Season 2 and even the production will start sometime later this year in Toronto.
The show’s Twitter account posted a picture of a script written by writer Steve Blackman.

The show will feature 10 episodes, with all of the main cast members set to return from the first Season.
Although we do not have the exact release date for season 2, writer Steve Blackman has said that it could take “around 18 months.”
So we assume season two to drop during the latter half of 2020.
