After Venom smashed the box office, Sony Pictures is all set to move forward with Venom 2. You may get to see Eddie Brock along with his dangerous symbiote taking on Carnage.
Kelly Marcel will write Venom 2. She co-wrote the first film along with Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner.
She will take on the executive producer duties along with a significant pay raise.
Release Date and Cast of Venom 2
No significant details have been revealed about the cast of Venom 2, but Sony has some pieces already into place.
In Venom’s post credit scenes, audiences were already introduced to Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), giving a subtle hint that he is likely to take on the role of Carnage.

Currently, in prison, it is unsure how Kasady would acquire a symbiote, but it will definitely relate to the former movie’s events, where wicked trials with symbiote samples were conducted by Life Foundation.
At the box office globally, Venom grossed over $850 million. Sony is definitely obligated to make a sequel after such a response from the audience.
We are not sure of the release date yet, but Venom 2 could be released as early as October next year. Michelle Williams and Tom Hardy are expected to star in the movie as the main cast of Venom 2.
Critics’ view about Venom
Even though the hardcore critics and followers of Marvel did not receive the first part well, it was surely an enjoyable movie with several scenes of surprising humor between Eddie Brock and the symbiote Venom.
Humor is not looked upon in comic books, but it served its purpose for Marvel’s motion picture Venom.

With Carnage coming into the picture, it is likely that the sequel may get more attention from the audience and followers than the primary movie itself.
We are hoping that the trailer and the release date of the movie will be finalized soon.
