Surprisingly, it looks like Victor Wembanyama is going to enter the GOAT debate soon. Recently, an NBA analyst, Rachel Nichols appreciated Victor and even went on to state that Victor’s potential is higher than that of players like LeBron, David, and Shaq. Making such a statement seems to be early since Wemby has played only five NBA games till now. For a long time, we have seen a never-ending GOAT debate between LeBron James and Michael Jordan, and comparing a rookie to them is too early right now.
Rachel Nichols believes Victor Wembanyama’s ceiling is higher than LeBron’s
“Victor Wembanyama’s ceiling is higher than David Robinson, Shaq and LeBron’s. He can render that LeBron-MJ argument.” 👀

Michael Jordan vs LeBron James
The debate between Michael Jordan and LeBron James is a very interesting one. There is no doubt that both of them are already a great player and dominated their opponents in their time. The difficult part is naming anyone as greatest since both of them have impacted the game in different ways. Michael Jordan is credited for popularizing the NBA during the 1980s and 90s while on the other hand, while LeBron James is the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. The two never got a chance to play against each other, so it becomes quite difficult to draw any conclusion.

Victor Wembanyama shined differently in his fifth game which was against The Phoenix Suns. With the Devin Booker trash-talk, and the Suns took the lead, everything was going against the San Antonio Spurs, but Victor came as a savior and led his team to win. He had a career-high 38 points in the game with 10 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Rachel Nichols praising Victor Wembanyama is understandable since Victor has displayed insane skills in a very short period. There are a few pointers where he has better stats than LeBron James. LeBron had an average of 5.5 rebounds per game in his rookie year on the other hand Victor has 8 rebounds per game already. There is some other part too, where Victor seems to be passing LeBron’s rookie season stats. Comparing him to LeBron and MJ will be early since he has played only five games. Victor Wembanyama is a young, talented player; it will be interesting to see his performance in the upcoming matches.
